Our Research & Development department is one of the pillars of Castros. It’s where light meets science, and design intersects with technology. We develop innovative, human-centered solutions that combine lighting (UV, visible, and infrared), smart materials, and advanced technologies in the fields of optics, electronics, mechanics, and UV systems.
Beyond festive lighting, our R&D has been exploring applications in sectors such as safety, healthcare, disinfection, agriculture, and functional design — creating flooring, coatings, and furniture with integrated lighting solutions.
