Founded in 1921 in northern Portugal, at a time when the world sought color and light to forget the darkness of war, António Araújo e Castro lit a light that remains shining through the initiative and entrepreneurship of the men and women of the “Castros” family.
From wooden arches decorated with hand-painted designs and colored paper, to ornaments with lighting predating electricity, our history supports a unique know-how in the outdoor festive lighting industry and indoor decorative lighting.
We have evolved from the soft, warm glow of the incandescent bulb, navigating through a succession of technological revolutions: fiber optics, neon, mini-bulbs, LED… All interconnected by a common “filament”: experience, expertise, creativity, design, and the innovative and functional conception of our proposals.
At this high point of fusion, we constantly transport ourselves into a future that takes shape in our research and development department, where the energy flows to materialize our patents and prototypes, recognized and awarded by our peers and the international scientific community.
